FOR INFLOW AND INFILTRATION ABATEMENT PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature has appropriated to the Metropolitan
Council in the 2010 Session Laws Chapter 189, Section 16, subdivision 3, $3,000,000
for a grant program to be administered by the Council for the purpose of providing
grants to municipalities for capital improvements to public municipal wastewater
collection systems to reduce the amount of inflow and infiltration to the Council's
metropolitan sanitary sewer disposal system (1/1 Municipal Grant Program"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Edina submitted an application for grant funds and the
Council identified the City has a contributor of excessive inflow and infiltration to the
Council's metropolitan sanitary sewer disposal system and thus an eligible applicant for
grant funds of $119,923 under the 1/1 Municipal Grant Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council approves the
Construction Grant Agreement with the Metropolitan Council anthe City of Edina.
