WHEREAS, the City of Edina has planned the improvements of Normandale
Road and Benton Avenue between Josephine Avenue and Normandale Road (Trunk
Highway 100 West Frontage Road); and
WHEREAS, the City of Edina will be expending Municipal State Aid Funds on the
improvement of this street; and
WHEREAS, this improvement do not provide adequate width for parking on both
sides of the street; and approval of the proposed construction as Municipal State Aid
Street project must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS THEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Edina shall ban the parking of motor vehicles on both sides of Normandale
Road, north of Benton Avenue (Trunk Highway 100 West Frontage Road) to a point
near the intersection of Normandale Road and Trunk Highway 100 South Bound Off
Ramp and on both sides of Benton Avenue from Eastview Drive to Normandale Road
(Trunk Highway 100 West Frontage Road).
Passed and adopted.this 7th day of April 2009.
