25 MPH SPEED LIMIT STATE-WIDE
City of Edina
WHEREAS, the Edina Transportation Commission feels a state-wide 25 mph speed limit
should be set for local roadways;
WHEREAS,the transportation bill in 2007 included a Speed Limit Task Force to study this
issue and was vetoed by the Governor;
BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Council of the City of Edina is asking Representative Ron
Erhardt to sponsor legislation granting permission to form a Speed Limit Task Force to begin a
state-wide study of the feasibility of 25 mph speed limit;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the study is be completed before the start of the 2009 legislation
session;
