SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION
aC HALIFAX AVENUE FROM 51ST TO 54TH STREET
IMPROVEMENT NO. S-100A
City of Edina
WHEREAS, the Edina City Council on the 15`h day of April, 2008, fixed a date for a Council hearing on
the proposed sidewalk construction, Improvement No. S-100A; and
WHEREAS, ten days' mailed noticed and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and the
hearing was held thereon on the 20`h day of May, 2008, for Improvement No. S-100A constructing sidewalk along
the west side of Halifax Avenue from 54t11 Street to 51" Street and along the south side of 52nd Street from Halifax
Avenue to Gorgas Avenue at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard
thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council has duly considered the views of all persons
interested, and being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does hereby determine to proceed with the construction
of said improvement, including all proceedings which may be necessary in eminent domain for the acquisition of
necessary easements and rights hereby designated and shall be referred to in all subsequent proceedings as
Improvement No. S-100A constructing sidewalk along the west side of Halifax Avenue from 54`h Street to 51S`
Street and along the south side of 52"d Street from Halifax Avenue to Gorgas Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Improvement No. S-100A constructing sidewalk along the west side
of Halifax Avenue from 54`h Street to 5151 Street and along the south side of 52"d Street from Halifax Avenue to
Gorgas Avenue is hereby ordered excluding construction of sidewalk along the west side of Halifax Avenue from
• 54`h Street to 51" Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the feasibility report for Improvement No. S-100A is hereby received
by the Edina City Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this
improvement. The engineer shall cause plans and specifications to be prepared for the making of such
improvement.
