WHEREAS, the City of Edina Police Department has chosen to enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic
Safety for the project entitled, SAFE AND SOBER COMMUNITIES during the
period from October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of the Edina Police Department is hereby authorized to
execute such agreements and amendments as are necessary to implement the
project on behalf of the Edina Police Department and to be the fiscal agent and
administrator of the grant.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Edina hereby declares its
commitment to enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of
Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety for the project entitled, SAFE AND SOBER
COMMUNITIES; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the SAFE AND SOBER COMMUNITIES grant
• be effective during the period October 1, 2007 through Septemb r 20, 2008.
