Braemar City of Lakes Figure Skating Club to Host Clinic for 15th-
Annual National Skating Month
Edina, Minn., Jan. 19, 2016 – In recognition of National Skating Month, Braemar-City of Lakes Figure
Skating Club and Braemar Arena will host a free skating event from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at the
arena, 7501 Ikola Way.
The event begins with free open skating and information about Braemar’s skating programs. At 1:30 p.m., a
short demonstration will be presented by members of the Braemar-City of Lakes Figure Skating Club,
followed by more open skating. Skate rental is available for $2 per pair.
The goal of National Skating Month is to increase awareness of and participation in U.S. Figure Skating
programs.
“We are thrilled to host this event in celebration of National Skating Month,” said Braemar Arena Assistant
Manager Roxann Maxey. “It’s an opportunity for rinks, member clubs and programs to celebrate and promote
skating. Through a series of organized on-ice and off-ice activities, everyone can enjoy a fun-filled day at the
rink.”
