Annual Photo Contest Opens April 4
Edina, Minn., March 31, 2016 – The City of Edina opens the submission period on April 4 for its 13th-
annual “Images of Edina” Photo Contest, co-sponsored by Edina Magazine.
The contest is free to enter and is open to both amateur and professional photographers who reside, work or
attend school in Edina. The deadline for this year’s contest is 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 17. Entries should be
submitted online through Edina Magazine’s website, edinamag.com. Printed copies of contest entries will not
be accepted.
Photos must have been taken in Edina between June 15, 2015 and June 17, 2016, and must be entered in one
of the following categories:
Business
Education
People & Community
Places in Edina
Plants & Animals/Nature
Photographers may submit up to five photographs. All submissions must be the original artwork of the
photographer.
Winners will receive plaques, recognition at a future City Council meeting and will have their work displayed
for up to two years at Edina City Hall.
Submitted photographs will also be posted online at www.EdinaMag.com between June 20 and July 25 for
readers to vote for their favorite entry. Through online voting, one photograph will be recognized as a
“Reader’s Choice” award. Winners will be notified in early August.
