HomeMy WebLinkAboutEPD_VandalismAlert16 Contact: Kaylin Eidsness, Senior Communications Coordinator Phone 952-833-9537 Fax 952-826-0389 EdinaMN.gov FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE $1,000 Reward Offered in Vandalism at Edina Parks Edina, Minn., July 27, 2016 — The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and charging of the person or persons responsible for recent vandalism at Courtney Fields and Fred Richards Park. Overnight Thursday, July 21, the scoreboard at Courtney Fields and three other signs at Braemar Park were vandalized. Using red and green spray paint, the vandals wrote “Gorilla Troop" and "King Kunta Harambe.” Sometime between July 15 and July 26, using red, green, blue and white spray paint, the vandals also tagged the old clubhouse at Fred Richards Park with the same text. If you have information regarding these incidents or suspects, contact the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1600, any time of day. Your identity may remain confidential. The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is the sole judge of any point of contention regarding the reward, and any decision on any issue connected with the reward is final. Residents are encouraged to call 911 immediately if they see or hear anything out of the ordinary, including suspicious vehicles in the area.
