Jim Dehne’s “Peacock Display,” located on Edina Promenade, garnered the most votes. His “Horse Play” at 50th & France came in second in voting that took place mid-June through September. The Newton, Wisconsin, artist bends and welds iron to form animals and birds. Another of his works, “Three Dancing Sandhill Cranes,” is on the Edina Promenade as part of the City of Edina’s permanent art collection. “Bonded Souls,” a steel, fused bronze and clear-coat sculpture that depicts three lifelong friends, took third place. The work, by James Bearden of Des Moines, Iowa, is near the fountain at 50th & France. Many people voted at the Public Art Edina booth during the Edina Fall into the Arts Festival in September.
