Community members are invited to be part of this travel opportunity to explore the Grand Canyon and Sedona area. Travelers will spend all five nights in Sedona, an artist haven, set within its majestic red sandstone rocks. A trolley tour of Sedona will include the Chapel of the Holy Cross, Uptown Sedona, Tlaquepaque and Airport Mesa along with day tours to Jerome, a historic mining town and Montezuma’s Castle National Monument. The trip includes two rail journeys, the Grand Canyon Railway which takes passengers all the way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, and the Verde Canyon Scenic Railway, winding through the untouched Verde Canyon. The cost is $2,225 per person. This includes roundtrip airfare from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, first-class hotel accommodations, double-occupancy room and eight meals. Professional tour director, deluxe motor coach transportation and sightseeing also included. “We’re excited to offer this opportunity to travel to artistic and inspirational destinations along with other local community members,” said Michael Frey, Edina Art Center General Manager. “It’s going to be a fun trip!” An informational presentation will be held on May 3, at the Edina Art Center, 4701 W. 64th St. Pictures from the tour stops will be shown and questions about the trip will be answered.
