During the month April, the Edina Police Department saw a significant increase in thefts from vehicles throughout the city, especially in the northeast quadrant. Various items were stolen, including tools, clothing, backpacks and money. Of the 17 thefts from vehicles in the area, only three were forced. Four of those vehicles were in garages at the time of the thefts. “This is a good reminder for residents and visitors to lock their car doors and take their valuables with them or place them in the trunk before arriving at their destination,” said Sgt. Brandon Kuske. “Residents should also remember to keep their garage doors closed.” If you have information regarding these incidents or suspects, contact the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1600, any time of day. Your identity may remain confidential. The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is the sole judge of any point of contention regarding the reward, and any decision on any issue connected with the reward is final. For more information, call the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1610. -30-
