Parks & Recreation encourages families to snap pictures of their kids at their local parks. The neighborhood park with the most photo submissions will qualify to be featured in the City’s monthly newsletter, Edition: Edina, which comes out in the Sun Current newspaper the first week of every month. Use the hashtag “#EdinaParks” and make sure to include the location in the post on social media. The photo contest will end May 20 at midnight. “We can’t wait to see all of the fun pictures families send into us,” said Clarke. Kids to Parks Day is a national movement dedicated to kids’ outdoor play in local parks. The National Park Trust organizes the day along with 19 other national collaborators. More than 731,000 participants enjoyed 1,130 park events across the country in 2016. For more information about the photo contest, contact Clarke at aclarke@EdinaMN.gov. -30-
