Explore Fire Trucks, Police Cars During Free Vehicle Day
Edina, Minn., May 2, 2017 – Climb into the driver’s seat of fire trucks, police cars, snowplows, buses,
public works vehicles and more during the annual Vehicle Day on Saturday, May 6, at Southdale Center.
From 10 a.m. to noon, kids and adults can explore more than 30 vehicles and talk to the people who drive
them for work each day. Three Rivers Park District’s mobile education vehicle also will be on site.
New to explore this year are U.S. Army vehicles and Southwest Transit buses.
“Vehicle Day is a fun, free event for families to explore all the vehicles they see around town,” said Edina
Recreation Supervisor Amanda Clarke.
This event is open to all ages and is held rain or shine. Don’t forget to bring a camera or cellphone for
photos.
Vehicle Day is coordinated by the cities of Edina and Richfield and co-sponsored by Southdale Center. It will
take place in the Southdale Center parking lot at the corner of France Avenue and 69th Street near the AMC
Southdale 16 theater.
