Walk with the Mayor at Centennial Lakes Park
Edina, Minn., May 3, 2017 – Mayor Jim Hovland will lead the monthly “Walk with the Mayor”
event at Centennial Lakes Park 9 a.m. May 20.
“Centennial Lakes Park opened at the beginning of May. The mayor is excited to be walking outside
and looks forward to fresh spring air and good conversation,” said Executive Assistant Sulekha
Mohamed, who helps plan the events.
Participants should meet the mayor at Hughes Pavilion at 9 a.m. In the event of rain, please meet at
Caribou Coffee in the center court of Southdale Center at 9:15 a.m.
The “Walk with the Mayor” events are typically held the third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m.
Beginning in June, Walk with the Mayor will be held on Thursday evenings to accommodate those
residents who travel on the summer weekends. More information will be forthcoming on the
summer schedule.
