Centennial Lakes Farmers Market Opens June 15
Edina, Minn., June 2, 2017 – The Centennial Lakes Farmers Market opens June 15 for its eigth summer
season.
Shoppers can buy items directly from the approximately three dozen local farmers and producers. Products
vary weekly, and people can expect to find items such as sweet corn, beans, potatoes, melons, strawberries,
apples, pears, peppers, salsas, jams, honey, beef, pork, poultry, eggs, cheeses, breads and confections.
“We are getting ready to go, and we hope to get some good weather,” said Centennial Lakes Park Manager
Tom Shirley.
The market will feature at least three new vendors this year:
Clara’s Comfort Food, offering authentic German sausages;
The Bake Bike, offering traditional Dutch treats, including tarts and cookies; and
Nothing Bundt Cakes, offering delicacies from bite-sized to full bundt cakes.
Other vendors may join in the first few weeks of the market. A full list of vendors will be posted online at
CentennialLakesPark.com.
The market runs 3-7 p.m. every Thursday from June 15 to Sept. 28. It’s held rain or shine along the walkways
outside of Hughes Pavilion at Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. Plenty of free parking is available in lots
adjacent to the market.
