Parade of Boats at Centennial Lakes June 11
Edina, Minn., June 7, 2017 – The Edina Model Yacht Club (EMYC) will put on its 25t- annual
Parade of Boats Sunday, June 11, at Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. S.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature boat sailing, racing and showings along the
shores of the park’s central pond.
Centennial Lakes hosts the event, which usually occurs on the second Sunday of June.
“We think this a great event for the whole family. There’s something for everybody,” said Centennial
Lakes Park Manager Tom Shirley.
Boats will also be on display inside the Hughes Pavilion where members of the club will be available
to answer questions about model boats.
“They have models inside the building, so people can get up close and get their questions answered,”
said Shirley.
The event is free, family friendly and open to all.
