City Seeks Feedback on Comprehensive Water Resources
Management Plan
Edina, Minn., Nov. 7, 2017 – The City of Edina seeks public comments through Nov. 27 on the Draft
Comprehensive Water Resources Management Plan (CWRMP). As a part of the City’s Comprehensive Plan
update, an update to Edina’s CWRMP is also required.
“Healthy water resources and safe, resilient neighborhoods are key elements in building a vibrant
community,” said Water Resources Coordinator Jessica Wilson. “The plan will direct water resources
management for the next decade. We are looking for feedback from residents and other stakeholders about
the proposed strategies for addressing some complex issues.”
The CWRMP defines policies, identifies and prioritizes issue areas and plans implementation activities around
the services of flood protection, runoff management and clean water for the next 10 years. The draft plan can
be viewed at EdinaMN.gov/WaterResources.
