City to Host Open House Dec. 6 on Pedestrian & Bicycle Master Plan
Edina, Minn., Nov. 15, 2017 – Learn more about the City of Edina’s vision and recommendations
to make walking and biking safer, easier and more convenient for all ages and abilities during a Dec. 6
open house.
The City’s new Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan is almost complete. At the open house, people
can learn about the plan, ask questions and provide comments to be considered for the final draft.
“This open house is a great opportunity to learn about our goals for continuing the momentum we
have built over the previous 10 years while capitalizing on the latest national and international trends
and ideas,” said Transportation Planner Mark Nolan, who is managing the project for the City. “We
are excited to continue our community’s ongoing transformation into the premier walking- and
bicycle-friendly community in our region.”
While people can drop by the open house anytime between 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, staff
and the consultant will give a brief presentation at 6:15 p.m. Boards and materials will be on display
throughout the evening to explain the plan’s process, goals, recommendations and implementation
priorities.
The event will be in the Fireside Room at the Edina Senior Center, 5280 Grandview Square.
The open house is the latest in a series of public events and input opportunities throughout the
project. To learn more or contribute your comments online, visit
