Braemar Golf Course To Host Construction Walking
Tours
Edina, Minn., Aug. 29, 2017 – Braemar Golf Course continues to show off its new look and design with
walking tours of the course while it is under construction. The tours highlight the changes coming to the
course. The next tour starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9. Guests should meet at the clubhouse before the tour
starts.
Braemar Golf Course General Manager Joe Abood and Golf Course Superintendent Tom Swenson direct the
tours. Both share their knowledge of the new course and its progress as well as give out their tips and tricks
to playing the course when it re-opens next year.
“We’ll show a green that’s under construction, or irrigation and drainage that’s under construction,” said
Abood. “People will get to see a glimpse of what it takes to build different features of a golf hole.”
It is still unknown which holes are going to be shown on the Sept. 9 tour, but it will be fun and educational for
golfers nonetheless.
Upcoming tour dates are Sept. 9 and Oct. 7. Each tour will have room for around 20 to 25 people and last for
