Walk with the Mayor at Rosland Park
Edina, Minn., Aug. 14, 2017 – Edina Mayor Jim Hovland will lead the monthly “Walk with the
Mayor” 6:30 p.m. Aug. 17, at Rosland Park.
The summer series of Walk with the Mayor events have been on Thursday evenings instead of
Saturday mornings. This has allowed the Mayor to meet new residents and speak with people who
couldn’t attend on weekends.
“Walking around Rosland Park, I think people will enjoy experiencing the laughter from the pool and
the level of activity at the playground at the east end of the park, the pickle ball activity at the north
end of the park as well as greeting the many people walking around Lake Cornelia early on a summer
evening,” said Mayor Hovland.
Participants should meet the Mayor at the park at 6:30 p.m. In the event of rain, walkers should meet
at Caribou Coffee in the center court of Southdale Center at 6:45 p.m.
“I hope many of our residents are able to join us for some exercise and good conversation,” said
Hovland.
