RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION
EDINA HIGH SCHOOL
2003 GIRLS' TENNIS TEAM
WHEREAS,the members of the Edina High School 2003 Girls'Tennis Team were Champions.
of the Classic.Lake Conference,Section Champions and State Champions,and
WHEREAS,Sarah Frey and Whitney Taney were the Doubles State Champions,and
WHEREAS, success has come to the members of the Team and individual players because of
their extraordinary ability,hours of practice and the leadership of their coaches,and
WHEREAS, as representatives of the City of Edina,the members of the Team and individual
players exemplified the highest standards of athletic proficiency and good sportsmanship.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the. Edina City Council that congratulations be
extended to the members of the Team:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that congratulations be extended to Sarah Frey and Whitney
Taney as Doubles State Champions.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be recorded in the Minutes of the Edina
City Council and that copies be given to all the members of the Team.
