City of Wind
WHEREAS, the sixth graders at Vall V. Jew Middle School observed that plastic
drink bottles were being thrown into he garbage and not recycled; and
WHEREAS, the students instituted a plastic bottle collection in a specially
designed container; and,
WHEREAS, the sixth grade studentsolu teered and monitored e collection of
the plastic bottles for recycling durin the lunch hour; and
WHEREAS, the efforts of the sixth rad students resulted i in a cart of plastic
bottles being collected daily; and
WHEREAS, the Edina Recycling and �olic Waste Commissionreq ested the City
Council recognize the endeavors of t e alley View Middle Sch 1 Sixth Grade
Class.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOD
hereby commends the Valley View
in preserving our resources by and
recyclable resource from landfills.
