WHEREAS, the City of Edina and

WHEREAS, the proposed plan would ii iclude physically connect g the Edina signal
at Halifax Avenue and 50th Street to the Minn apolis system alon Fra ice Avenue at West
491/2, West 50th and West 51st Streets, allowingMinneapolis to ins 11 titeir controller in the
Edina system improving they east/ west flow o West 501h Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edina's estim ted share of this ptopo ed plan would be
$22,000 to be derived from the Public Wo k's Traffic Signal Equipment Maintenance
Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Edina City Cbun 1 that the proposed
signal improvement is hereby authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor arid City Manager areli autt orized to enter into
an agreement with the City of Minneapolis to a complish the mutually a reed upon
improved traffic flow as previously stated.
