SET HEARING DATE OF OCTOBER 4, 2005, City of Edina
FOR REVENUE BOND FINANCING FOR y
YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION (YMCA)
OF METROPOLITAN MINNEAPOLIS
WHEREAS, The Young Men's Christian Association of Metropolitan
Minneapolis (the "Corporation'), intends to provide for the financing of equipment and
the improvement of various administrative office, community program and health
enhancement facilities in the cities of New Hope, Minneapolis, Andover, Edina and
Minnetonka (collectively the "Project"), through a revenue bond in the amount of up to
$5,000,000 (the "Bond") to be issued by the Minneapolis Community Development
Agency (the "Issuer"); and
WHEREAS, because one of the facilities to be financed is located in the City of
Edina (the "City"), it is necessary for the City to hold a public hearing and then approve
the issuance of the Bond by the Issuer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Edina,
Minnesota, as follows:
Section 1. The City Council shall hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. central
time on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, at the Council Chambers in City Hall, 4801 W. 5011,
Street, Edina, Minnesota, to provide an opportunity for interested individuals to
express their views on the proposed issuance of the Bond and the nature of the Project.
The City Clerk shall cause a notice of public hearing in substantially the form attached
as Exhibit A to be published in the official newspaper of the Cit n fewer than fourteen
(14) and no more than thirty (30) days before the hearing.
