RESOLUTION NO. 2005-101
A RESOLUTION ENDORSING City of Edina
HENNEPIN COUNTY CLEAN INDOOR AIR ACT
WHEREAS, on the 71h day of September, 2004, the City of Edina adopted
Resolution No. 2004-78 which supported, advocated and urged the
Hennepin County Board of Commissioners to Enact Ordinance No. 24,
"Smoke Free Ordinance"; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edina deems it prudent, reasonable and necessary to
continue to maintain this support, and advocates and urges the County
to maintain its current policy, and not sacrifice peoples' health by
allowing exemptions to the "Smoke Free Ordinance".
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City Edina strongly endorses the
health benefits of the Hennepin County Clean Indoor Air Act,
Ordinance No. 24, and strongly urges Hennepin County to maintain its
current policy as written.
