HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2018-011 Authorizing Edina HRA to negotiate for City on all City owned properties e RESOLUTION NO. 2018-11 APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION NO. 2016-132 WHICH APPROVED AUTHORIZING THE EDINA HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY TO ACT ON THE CITY'S BEHALF IN NEGOTIATING THE SALE AND DEVELOPMENT OR REDEVELOPMENT OF REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Edina, Minnesota, as follows: BACKGROUND On December 20, 2016, the City Council authorized the Edina Housing and Redevelopment Authority ("HRA")to act on the City's behalf in negotiating the terms of the sale and development or redevelopment of the following property owned by the City: I. 4416 Valley View Road (vacant land) 2. 5146 Eden Avenue (former Public Works site) 3. 5116 Brookside Avenue (Jerry's Parking Ramp) 4. 5120 Brookside Avenue (Jerry's Parking Ramp) 5. 3925 West 49-1/2 Street (Center Parking Ramp) 6. 4050 West 50th Street (South Parking Ramp) 7. 7500 Xerxes Avenue South (vacant parcel) The HRA's recommendations on the terms of sale and development or redevelopment of the property shall be submitted to the City Council for its consideration. APPROVAL NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of Edina: Resolution No. 2016-132 is amended to authorize the HRA to act on the Ci y's behalf in negotiating the terms of the sale and development or redevelopment of all real properties o ned by the City.
