Edina Public Works & Park Maintenance to Host Blood Drive
Edina, Minn., April 12, 2018 – The City of Edina’s Public Works Department and Park Maintenance
Division will host a blood drive in partnership with Memorial Blood Centers. The blood drive will take place 9
a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the Public Works & Park Maintenance Facility, 7450 Metro Blvd.
The Public Works Department and Park Maintenance Division hosted a blood drive last year and donated a
total of 33 units of blood.
“We hosted a blood drive last year and did so well, Memorial Blood Centers asked us to host another this
year,” said Administrative Assistant Marge Bergman. “I’m hoping we can get close to -- or get more than --
the 33 units we donated last year.”
Those who donated blood at City Hall in February are able to donate again in May.
The drive is open to the public, but participants must sign up in advance. To sign up, visit
mbc.org/searchdrives and enter sponsor code 4507 or contact Bergman at 952-826-0300 or
mbergman@EdinaMN.gov.
