Jeff Mold Named New Superintendent of Braemar Golf Course
Edina, Minn., May 17, 2018 – Jeff Mold has been named the new Golf Course Superintendent at
Braemar Golf Course.
He will be in charge of the grow-in process and maintenance of the Championship 18 golf course,
which is in the final stages of construction and set to open in Spring 2019.
Braemar Golf Course General Manager Joe Abood highlighted Mold’s experience in golf course
grow-in and renovation as among the many reasons Mold is ideal for the job. In his previous position
as Senior Assistant Superintendent at Edina Country Club, Mold was part of the team to work on
renovations and reopen that course in 2011.
“We are very excited to have a new superintendent with a strong skillset in course construction and
course grow-in and an extremely strong sense of customer service,” Parks & Recreation Director
Ann Kattreh said.
Mold also will oversee maintenance for the Academy 9 Par 3 course, the outdoor driving range and
Braemar Golf Dome.
In addition to his experience working at Edina Country Club since 2004, Mold holds an associate
degree in Applied Science – Golf Course Grounds Management from Anoka-Hennepin Technical
College. He is a member of the Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents Association and the Golf
Course Superintendents Association of America.
He takes over the position previously held by Tom Swenson, who has been promoted to Assistant
Director – Parks & Natural Resources for the City of Edina. When Mold starts the Superintendent
position on May 21, he will be just the fourth Superintendent in Braemar Golf Course’s history,
which dates back to 1964.
“Jeff’s attention to detail and passion for the golf industry will be of tremendous value to Braemar
Golf Course,” Kattreh said.
