50th & France Small Area Plan Work Group To Host Workshop
Edina, Minn., June 27, 2018 – The City of Edina’s 50th & France Small Area Plan Work Group invites the
public to attend a community workshop to discuss the future of the 50th & France area.
The workshop will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Edina Community Lutheran Church, 4113 W.
54th St., Minneapolis. Light refreshments will be provided.
At the workshop, participants will learn what the small area plan study is all about, hear a presentation on the
study of area characteristics and be asked to provide ideas about the opportunities and challenges facing the
area.
“This is a great opportunity for the community to shape the vision and future of the 50th & France area,” said
Transportation Planner Mark Nolan. “We hope people will join us for this workshop.”
The 50th & France Small Area Plan will provide guidance for important issues such as redevelopment,
streetscape and aesthetic treatment, vehicle parking, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities for the 50th & France
area. The Small Area Plan is being completed as part of a City-wide Comprehensive Plan update and is being
led by the 50th & France Small Area Plan Work Group, made up of area residents.
