Current Makers in Clay Exhibition Opens at the Edina Art Center
Edina, Minn., June 25, 2018 – When the Edina Art Center first opened, it had a strong focus on pottery
and ceramics. To keep this focus and attention on the art medium, the Art Center hosts new talent in the
field every year. This year, the Edina Art Center will host the Current Makers in Clay exhibition in the Margaret
Foss Gallery.
The gallery’s opening reception is 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 12 at the Edina Art Center, 4701 West 64th Street.
The opening reception is free and open to the public. The featured artists will be present at the opening
reception.
The exhibition will run from July 12 to August 30 and can be viewed during the Art Center’s regular business
hours, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. To highlight
the diversity of the medium, the exhibition will feature eight artists working in slip casting, hand-building,
wheel throwing and altering. Artists include Mark Lambert, Kathy Mommsen, Kimberlee Joy Roth, Sue
Feigenbaum, Blake Stolpestad, Jennifer Mally, Danielle Fernandez, and Caitlin Dowling.
