Sixteen Police Explorers from Post 3925, along with six advisors, drove almost 1,200 miles to the conference. In total, approximately 3,000 Police Explorers from across the country attended the conference. Edina Police Officers attending the conference as advisors were Ricky Harr, Ben Wenande and Nicole Frederick. Post 3925 competed in eight team events with one team placing fifth in Crime Scene Investigation. Explorer Bennett Breyer placed second in the 9mm shooting competition and first in the bullseye competition. “A huge thank you goes out to Edina Police Officers Eric Carlson and Kyle Waterstreet who put on monthly range events for our Explorers,” wrote Frederick. “Our Explorers represented themselves and the Edina and Eden Prairie Police Departments in a highly professional manner while at the conference.
