City Sees Four Retirements in the Second Quarter of 2018
Edina, Minn., Aug. 29, 2018 – The City of Edina said goodbye to four staffers in the second quarter of
2018 who had more than 125 years of combined experience.
“We are very fortunate to have such a large number of staff who stay with the City during the majority of
their careers,” said HR Generalist Cassi McMayer. “Edina is a great place to work and the residents benefit
from the extensive experience that these long-term employees have and continue to bring to their work.”
Second-quarter retirements included:
Public Service Worker Darrel Cote, Public Works Department, 30 years
Administrative Support Specialist Jackie Hoogenakker, Planning Division, 33 years.
Building Inspections Specialist Judy Laufenburger, Building Inspections Division, 32 years.
Fire Inspector Andy Medzis, Fire Department, 34 years.
