The event is free and open to the public. The first book to be featured is Sinners and the Sea: The Untold Story of Noah’s Wife which animates a harsh, almost dystopic world of fallen people struggling to survive. The book gives a voice to Noah’s wife, a character only given a mention in passing in the Bible. The second book to be featured in the Author’s Studio is Kanner’s latest work, Esther: A Novel, which reimagines the Book of Esther. “Kanner’s characters crackle to life as Esther’s tale is related in glorious detail. Razor-sharp dialog set against the backdrop of a court rife with treachery and political intrigue keep the pages turning. Esther is highly intelligent, politically savvy, and determined,” stated The Library Journal. Copies of Kanner’s books will be available for purchase and signing.
