City, Edina Magazine Honor Photo Contest Winners
Edina, Minn., Sept. 21, 2018 – The City of Edina and Edina Magazine recognized winners of the 2018
Images of Edina photo contest at the Sept. 20 City Council meeting.
This year’s panel of volunteer judges included Angela Johnson of Edina Magazine; Andrew Vick, an area
professional photographer; Chip Jones, an area professional photographer; and Katie Laux, Graphic Designer
for the City of Edina.
Photos entered were taken between June 2017 and June 2018 and were entered into one of five categories.
Edina Magazine readers voted online in July to choose the “Readers’ Choice” award. One overall “Best In
Show” winner was chosen. The winners of the 2018 Images of Edina contest were:
Business – “The Calm After the Storm” by Lisa Asp
People – “Little Fish” by Melissa Hunzelman
Activities & Events – “’Ice Diamonds’ Braemar Ice Show | 2018” by Suzanne Wortham-Ressemann
Places in Edina – “Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it! – Confucius” by Jerold Wilson
Selvaraj
Plants & Animals – “A Beautiful Lake Edina Wood Duck ” by William Webb
Readers’ Choice – “The Path Ahead” by Mary Vandervelde
Best in Show – “Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it! – Confucius” by Jerold Wilson

The contest is free to enter and is open to both amateur and professional photographers who reside, work or
attend school in Edina. The 2019 Images of Edina photo contest will open for entries again in Spring 2019.
