The walk will be held in the 50th & France Business District. Participants should meet outside the Edina Landmark Theater, 3911 W. 50th St. “We’re meeting this month in the 50th & France area to see some of the many improvements that are under way as part of the Market Street project,” said Mayor Jim Hovland. “The construction in that area began at the start of the year and, when finished before the holiday shopping season in 2019, will have improved and increased parking options, created new apartment homes and retail shops and enhanced our public art in this area. We’re excited about this project and the next era of living and doing business at 50th & France, so I invite you to join me on a walk to see the progress and learn more about next steps and the future of this charming area of our town.” Participating in the Walk with the Mayor gives community members a chance to voice concerns, share opinions and thoughts as well as just talk with Hovland while getting to know the City a little bit better. No prior registration is required to attend Walk With the Mayor; simply show up at the designated meeting time to walk and talk with Hovland.
