Edina Art Center to Open 34th-Annual Members’ Juried Art
Exhibition
Edina, Minn., Oct. 16, 2018 – The Edina Art Center will host its annual Juried Member Show Exhibit in its
Margaret Foss Gallery, 4701 W. 64th St., Thursday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Nov. 8.
Each year, the Edina Art Center invites its member artists to submit their best original work in any medium
for judging by local artists. After the judges make their selections, they are put up on display in the Margaret
Foss Gallery. This is the 34th-annual Members’ Juried Art Exhibition.
This year, 53 artists submitted 128 pieces of work for entry into the show spanning mediums including, but
not limited, to drawing, painting, ceramics and photography. There are a total of 74 pieces on display with six
winners judged by two local artists, Richard Mittelstadt and Mark Lambert.
An opening reception will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. The reception will feature music by local jazz
quintet BlueMood and remarks by Edina Mayor Jim Hovland at 6 p.m.
