Many of those concerns revolve around density and the addition of new population to the community. This presentation is designed to address those concerns and learn more about them,” said City Manager Scott Neal. “HR&A has done work in the Twin Cities and they are well respected, particularly in their work around economics and land development.” The Urban Vision Symposium is held annually to provide an educational event for Edina residents to learn about urban and economic development trends. The symposium cultivates a community conversation around urban development. Edina is experiencing a significant amount of redevelopment and City leadership hopes to develop a community consciousness around the topic. “This is a great education opportunity and it’s a really good firm leading the workshop. This symposium is open to everyone; it’s not intended to be an event for experts to talk to experts. This is an event where anyone can come and learn a little bit from some experts in the field,” said City Management Fellow Casey Casella. The event is free and open to the public, with reservations recommended. To sign up to attend, visit EdinaMN.gov. For more information, contact Casella at 952-826-0429 or ccasella@EdinaMN.gov. -30-
