This working group will develop a theme and agenda for the Days of Remembrance event, identify a venue and guest speakers or presenters, help publicize and assist with day-of event logistics. The Days of Remembrance event provides an opportunity to remember and honor victims of the Holocaust and genocides and to share experiences of survivors of the Holocaust. The event serves to educate the community on how the Holocaust and genocide impact the lives of survivors and affects the community. It’s also a time to reflect on what can be done to make a difference on these issues. The Working Group will consist of two to four members, in addition to Human Rights & Relations Commissioners, and is open to any interested residents. Members can expect a time commitment of two to six hours per month, with the commitment starting in December and ending in May. Interested candidates can apply online at EdinaMN.gov/DOR-Work-Group. Applications are due Thursday, Dec. 13. For more information, contact MJ Lamon, staff liaison to the HRRC, at 952-826-0360 or MLamon@EdinaMN.gov. -30- City of Edina • 4801 W. 50th St. • Edina, MN 55424
