Walk With the Mayor Scheduled for Nov. 17
Edina, Minn., Nov. 8, 2018 – The November Walk With the Mayor is scheduled for 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 17. The walk will be held on the walking path at Braemar Field, 7509 Ikola Way.
“We have a great indoor space at Braemar Field that area lacrosse, soccer and baseball teams are able to take
advantage of during the winter months. Surrounding the playing field is a quarter-mile turf track. I hope
community members will join me for the November Walk With the Mayor for conversation and a chance to
enjoy this wonderful space,” said Mayor James Hovland.
Participating in the Walk with the Mayor gives community members a chance to voice concerns, share
opinions and thoughts as well as just talk with Hovland while getting to know the City a little bit better. No
prior registration is required to attend Walk With the Mayor; simply show up at the designated meeting time
to walk and talk with Mayor Hovland.
Upcoming walks include:
9-10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at Southdale Center, meet near the Caribou Coffee in center court
9-10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Galleria Edina, meet near the Starbucks near Door 4
9-10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Galleria Edina, meet near the Starbucks near Door 4
9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at Southdale Center, meet near the Caribou Coffee in center court
Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. In the event of rain, the walk
will be held at Southdale Center; participants should meet near the Caribou Coffee in the center court. For
