Walk With the Mayor Scheduled for April 20
Edina, Minn., April 4, 2019 – The April Walk With the Mayor is scheduled for 9-10 a.m. Saturday, April 20
at the Edina Landmark Theater at 50th & France.
“This is our first outdoor walk of the season so I hope many people are able to join in. We’ll walk around the
50th & France area, which continues to see significant improvement. Bill Neuendorf, Economic Development
Manager, will also join us to help answer questions about re-development in the District,” said Mayor Jim
Hovland.
Participating in the Walk with the Mayor gives community members a chance to voice concerns, share
opinions and thoughts as well as just talk with Hovland while getting to know the city a little bit better. No
prior registration is required to attend Walk With the Mayor, simply show up at the designated meeting time
to walk and talk with Mayor Hovland.
Summer walks during the months of June, July and August will be held during the week to accommodate busy
weekend schedules Upcoming walks include:
9-10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, Centennial Lakes Park, Hughes Pavilion
6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, Bredesen Park
6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, Braemar Golf Course
Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes. In the event of inclement weather, the walk will be held
at Southdale Center. For more information or to suggest a location for a future walk, contact the
