• Initial reactions to agenda and staff report
• Introductions by all task force members and staff liaisons
Stormwater 101
• Staff-led overview of visuals and materials on stormwater basics from staff report and
attachments
• Task Force discussion: Clarification of regional vs. local flooding issues, modeling, trade-offs
Introduction to Stormwater Utility and Infrastructure Services in Morningside Area
• Stormwater utility overview and clarification, description of historical and future efforts
• Example of cost-benefit analysis for various infrastructure services
• Resources presented, inundation projection videos, utility introduction slides all available on
Water Resources library
• Task Force discussion: future meeting topics and key questions
Next steps
• Upcoming meetings scheduled (to be held at City of Edina Public Works)
o Tuesday July 30th, 6pm-8pm – topic will be determined with co-chairs
o Tuesday August 13th, 6pm-8pm – tentative topic: coordination of regional water
resources, watershed districts present
o Tuesday August 27th, 6pm-8pm – topic TBD
o Martha will share schedule of future meetings, relevant resources when available
