EDINA FIRE DEPARTMENT
URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE GRANT
WHEREAS, The City of Edina and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) have
agreed to enter into an agreement for the training and equipment for the Edina Fire Department. The
City of Edina agrees that the UASI program funds address the unique planning, organization, equipment,
training, and exercise needs of high-threat, high-density urban areas and assists them in building an
enhanced and sustainable capacity to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from
acts of terrorism.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Edina, Minnesota hereby
accepts the agreement and documents relating to The Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S.
Department of Homeland Security, Federal Fiscal Year 2010 Urban Area Security Initiative Grant UASI
10-00732 in the amount of$27,331.73
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the
Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
