RESOLUTION NO. 2013-22
APPROVING GRANT AGREEMENT NO. SG2013-006
BETWEEN THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AND THE CITY OF EDINA
FOR SEWER REHAB WORK (INFLOW AND INFILTRATION ABATEMENT PROJECTS)
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature has appropriated to the Metropolitan Council
$4,000,000 for a grant program to be administered by the Council for the purpose of providing grants
to municipalities for capital improvements to public municipal wastewater collection systems to
reduce the amount of inflow and infiltration to the Council's metropolitan sanitary sewer disposal
system (1/1 Municipal Grant Program"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Edina submitted an application for grant funds and the Council
identified the City has a contributor of excessive inflow and infiltration to the Council's metropolitan
sanitary sewer disposal system and thus an eligible applicant for grant funds of $558,027 under the
1/1 Municipal Grant Program;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of th City of Edina:
1. That the City Council Approves Grant Agreement No. SG2013- 0 between the Metropolitan
Council and the City of Edina and Authorizes the Mayor and C Manager to Sign.
