RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE
MARCELLA DAEHN
WHEREAS, Marcella Daehn passed away following an illness on Saturday, May 25, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Marcella Daehn served as the City Clerk of the City of Edina, Minnesota
beginning in 1977 until her retirement in April of 1995; and
WHEREAS, as City Clerk, Marcella was responsible for the administration of all city business
licenses, the conduct of elections, preparation of City Council materials including minutes and
packets, the codification of ordinances and all legal notices for the City of Edina; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure with the City of Edina, Ms. Daehn performed all duties in an
exemplary manner and was a valued member of the City staff; and
WHEREAS, she was a trustworthy, energetic and outgoing employee with a genuine heart
for service to Edina's citizens and her fellow employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Edina City Council hereby extends its heartfelt
sympathy to Marcella Daehn's family members in their loss.
