RECEIVING FEASIBILITY STUDIES FOR
NEIGHBORHOOD STREET RECONSTRUCTION:
MORNINGSIDE B, IMPROVEMENT NO. BA-406
HAWKES ADDITION OF COUNTRYSIDE F, IMPROVEMENT BA-407;
WARDEN AVENUE OF COUNTRYSIDE F, IMPROVEMENT BA-408
BREDESEN PARK D, IMPROVEMENT BA-409;
BIRCHCREST B, IMPROVEMENT BA-410
STRACHAUER PARK B, IMPROVEMENT BA-411
WHEREAS, at the request of Edina City Engineer, studies have been prepared by staff with reference to the
proposed Improvement Nos. BA-406, BA-407, BA-408, BA-409, BA-410, and BA-411, the improvement of Morningside B,
Hawkes Addition of Countryside F, Warden Avenue of Countryside F, Bredesen Park D, Birchcrest B, and Strachauer Park
B, and these studies are hereby received by the Council on November 19, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the studies provide information regarding whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-
effective, and feasible; whether they should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement;
the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate
individual assessments for affected parcels;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDINA, MINNESOTA:
1. The council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with said studies and
the possible assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the
improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statute, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of$1,036,125 (BA-406), $241,978 (BA-407), $81,660 (BA-408), $886,650 (BA-409),
$1,740,375 (BA-410), and $764,991 (BA-411).
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement Lksth December,
2013, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 6:00 p.m. and mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by
ADOPTED this 19th day of November, 20 13.
