The first public hearing is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Planning Commission meeting. The second public hearing is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the City Council meeting. Both meetings are in the Council Chambers at Edina City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St. If approved at the Council meeting, the 2018 Comprehensive Plan will be sent to the Metropolitan Council for review and final approval. Once approved by the Metropolitan Council, the City Council will pass a resolution to formally adopt the 2018 Comprehensive Plan. The final draft version of the 2018 Comprehensive Plan is available for review on BetterTogetherEdina.org. In the last two years, more than 180 meetings have been held to gather feedback from the community to update the Comprehensive Plan and small area plans. The Comprehensive Plan provides a vision for the City and framework for shaping future growth and change. It contains information about current conditions, trends, and goals and policies for land use, community design, housing, transportation, parks, recreation, and natural resources, water resources, heritage preservation, and community services and facilities.
