Dickson offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION FOR VACATION OF
COUNTY ROAD EASEMENT
WHEREAS, a majority of the owners of the land abutting the County Road
Easement hereinafter described have petitioned for the Vacation of said easement;
and
WHEREAS, two weeks' published notice and posted notice of a hearing to be
had on said petition on April 289 1958, at 7:30 p.m., has been given and made,
and a hearing has been had thereon by the Village Council:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Edina, Hennepin County, Minnesota that
THAT COUNTY ROAD EASEMENT over a strip of land four (4) rods wide,
beginning at the Northeast corner of the Northwest One Quarter (NW1 /4)
of Section Seven (7), Township One Hundred Sixteen (116), Range Twenty -
one (21), thence south Eighty (90) rods to the Southeast corner of
the Northeast One Quarter (NEl /4) of the Northwest One Quarter (NW1 /4)
of said Section Seven (7)9 thence Westerly along the South line of the
North One Half (N1 /2) of the Northwest One Quarter (NWi /4) of said
Section Seven (7) to the base of the hill which point is about Five
Hundred and Fifty'(550) Feet East of the Westerly line of said Section
Seven (7); thence Northerly and Westerly along the most feasible route
at the base of said hill to a point where said line would intersect
the Easterly right of way line of County Road No. Fifty -Seven (57)
(Now County Road No. Eighteen (18) and there terminating excepting
therefrom the existing right of way'of County Road No. Thirty -Nine
(39)
All as platted and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds of Hennepin
County, Minnesota, be and is hereby vacated.
Motion for adoption of the Resolution was seconded by Tupa, and on Rollcall there
were four ayes and no nays, as follows: Bank, aye; Dickson, aye; Tupa, aye; and
Bredesen, aye; and the Resolution was adopted.
