Since Oct. 1, 2013, there have been 10 thefts from vehicles at Bredesen Park. All have occurred during the day and windows were broken to gain entrance into the vehicles. In nine of the 10 incidents, a purse or wallet was reported stolen. “If you must keep valuables in your car, place them in the trunk of your vehicle before you arrive at your destination,” said Crime Prevention Specialist Molly Anderson. The Edina Police Department has increased patrol in the area and encourages visitors to immediately call 9-1-1 to report suspicious activity.
