Centennial Lakes Park To Host 24th-Annual Winter Festival Jan. 12
Edina, Minn., Jan. 7, 2014 – Centennial Lakes Park will host the 24th-annual Winter Festival from 1 to 5
p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at 7499 France Ave. S.
Visitors to the park during the Winter Festival can take a horse-drawn sleigh tour of the north park, watch an
artist carve up big ice blocks into a fantastic works of art and have their faces painted indoors!
All three fireplaces at the Hughes Pavilion will be on to keep visitors warm and give ice skaters a break from
the cold. A full concessions stand will be available throughout the festival for park goers to enjoy hot
chocolate, hot dogs, popcorn and other snacks.
Participants may bring their own equipment, but ice skates and kick-sleds are available for rental at Hughes
Pavilion, which serves as a warming house and concessions stand during the winter months.
