Edina Introduces e-Utility Billing
Edina, Minn., Jan. 7, 2014 – Edina has launched a new website where residents can pay their utility bills and
access their accounts. Customers can now simply log on to www.EdinaMN.gov/Finance and click on the
button to pay their bills.
Quarterly utility bills consist of water, storm drain and recycling charges. Instead of dealing with paper bills,
postage and/or driving, residents are encouraged to pay their bills online, quickly and securely. They can make
a one-time payment or register to receive eBills, which eliminate paper bills altogether.
Users can also compare their usage to a typical user and view past water usage.
Eric Roggeman, Edina’s Assistant Finance Director, believes these conveniences will prove very valuable for
residents.
“We are very excited about this new technology because it will allow our utility customers to access their
data anytime, not just during regular business hours,” he said. “Customers will be able to view usage and bills
and make payments online. People have asked whether these options were available in the past, and now we
will be happy to tell them that there are new options.”
Roggeman hopes to have 20 percent of accounts enrolled by the end of 2015.
